Why should I volunteer?

There are many reasons why you should volunteer. The obvious is to make a difference in people’s lives. Supporting worthwhile causes to make a difference in the world.

One of the things that are important to us is mental health. So it is also worth mentioning that there are major benefits to giving back personally. It helps you feel like you are part of something bigger and gives more purpose and meaning to life. As well as the social benefit of being part of a community of like-minded people that can support each other.

What will I be doing as a volunteer?

There are so many ways for you to help make a difference, that this is up to you. We will communicate with you to find out what you would want to do and are open to any suggestions of how you can help that we did not think of.

But as a guide we do need writers for blogs and marketing material, help managing our marketing like social media, planning events, support at physical events like water stands and as medical support, finding sponsors for the events, counseling those that need it, finding organizations to collaborate with and worthwhile causes to back.

How much time do I need to dedicate and how often?

This is entirely up to you, how much time you can or are willing to dedicate. You should consider the sustainability of your commitment and how it will fit into your schedule.

We would also prefer a long-term commitment over a short-term commitment, like 2 hours a month over a year instead of 10 hours in only one month. But are open to anything that would work for you.

After the amazing success of our annual event DJ Run and requests from people that want to get more involved. We have decided to start accepting volunteers.

Volunteers will be helping to grow Watch Me Rise as well as contributing to the success of future events. This will be a collaborative experience as we are open to any suggestions from volunteers on how you think you can help.

If there is a cause or organization close to your heart that you think deserves support. We would love to hear about it and together we can make it happen.
